Pneumatic structure

A pneumatic structure is a system of components that is supported by air in the same manner that a balloon is supported by air.


The components of a pneumatic structure consist of a membrane, supporting cables, and anchorage system, and an HVAC system.


Anchoring system - Steel cables.


Pros :

+ The initial and operating costs are lower than that of a conventional building because of its simplicity.

+ Completely prefabricated and they can be assembled fast.

+ Because of the lightweight, pneumatic structures can be easily relocated.

+ Nylon

+ ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene)
